This is the Harriet (FD 111)
Fleetwood Museum now houses the Harriet. She is known as a Smack. She was built at Fleetwood in 1893 and is 19.51 metres long, 4.97 metres breadth and her displacement is 25 net tonnes.
Harriet was the last sailing ketch to work out of Fleetwood. In 1978 Mrs Josephine Banner of Little Langdale, Cumbria, bought her to site at Millom, overlooking the Dudden Estuary. She was completely transformed into a holiday home and nature observation centre. Many of her original parts were removed and put into other Fleetwood boats. Her engine is still going in the BOY PETER, while her winch is now on board EXCELSIOR.She was subsequently acquired by Fleetwood Museum.
